Hi, thank you for visiting. I appreciate your interest in learning how ADHD coaching may be able to help your child better understand their ADHD and how their strengths and challenges may be related to how their brain works.
I bring a unique perspective to ADHD coaching by integrating my 15 years of experience in public school special education with my ADHD life coach certification. For me, it's the perfect blend. I can mentally put myself in the classroom with a student as they describe their typical school day, how challenges show up for them, and understand the support they have in place. Coach training has helped me to develop a heightened sense of listening and a process for asking the right questions hopefully leading a client to discover their own answers.
I jumped into the special education and ADHD arena when one after the other my own children received neurodiversity diagnses, which then lead to my own diagnosis of ADHD when I was 55. Because of my personal experiences, I took a special interest in supporting people who have developmental and neuro-different challenges as early as possible in their school careers. Some students come to me having just been diagnosed in 9th grade. Some students have had a disgnosis since primary school. Each student is unique.
My driving principle for working with children is to help the "unique" continue to thrive while at the same time fostering a foundational understanding of ADHD (and executive functions), an awareness of their strengths, and the discovery of ways to address their current challenges.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about how I may be able to support your child.
